New Canaan House Fire Extinguished NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A fire at an empty River Street residence that was being renovated was knocked out by firefighters Friday, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. There were no injuries from the fire that broke out in a wall of the duplex, fire officials told the New Canaan Advertiser. The attic of the home filled up with smoke. Olivia Holm, 15, will complete at L'Alpe Cimbra FIS Children Cup March 6 to 11 in Tarvisio, Italy. The cup, formerly known as Trofeo Topolino, is a historic and premier European ski competition for children.
