Y. -- Nine Fox Lane High School musicians were selected to participate in the New York All-State Music Ensembles on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 at the Eastman Theatre in Rochester.The students were picked from thousands of New York students vying for spots in the ensemble. Selection was based on individual ratings earned in the New York State School Music Association Solo Festival this past spring, school officials said. He was 45.Born to Robert and Rose Brue, he was an entrepreneur in the construction business. Events kick off at noon with the second annual flag football game between St. Mary and Rutherford alumni at Tryon Field. Eugene T. Pedoto, 84, Of Cliffside Park CLIFFSIDE PARK, N. J. -- Eugene T Pedoto, a U.S. Army veteran and longtime resident of Fairview and Cliffside Park, died Nov. 24 at Village Marie Claire in Saddle River. He was 84.Son of the late Louis and Valentina Pedoto of Fairview, he graduated from Cliffside Park High School. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was in Germany from 1953-54. He retired in 1992 from I.B.E.W. Local 363, New City, N. Y. Y. -- A quick-moving fire Wednesday in an Ossining apartment complex produced such heavy smoke that several residents had to be treated for smoke inhalation, according to News 12 Westchester.While officials are still investigating, it's believed the fire started in the kitchen of one of the apartments and spread to at least two other units and the roof, News 12 Westchester reported.
