Duo Uses Stolen Target Credit Card To Place $1.2K Order For Pickup At LI Store, Police Say Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men accused of using a woman’s stolen credit card to buy merchandise from a Long Island Target. Nassau County Police said the victim discovered that her credit card and information had been stolen Saturday, Jan. 21, and used to place online orders for pickup from the Target in Westbury, located on Corporate Drive. Sanitation Worker Airlifted After Garbage Truck Crashes On Long Island A sanitation worker is recovering after a garbage truck crashed on Long Island Friday morning, Feb. 10. The incident happened just before 10 a.m. in Riverhead on Kirby Lane, according to the Riverhead Town Police Department. Investigators said the truck was backing up when it collided with a parked dump truck. The impact left Javier Palma-Guevara, who was riding on the vehicle's back step, with serious injuries to his leg. ID Released For 39-Year-Old Killed In Daytime Shooting In Capital Region Police have identified a man who was shot and killed during an altercation in the region Thursday afternoon, Feb. 9. Anthony Dias, age 39, of Watervliet, died following the shooting, which occurred in Albany’s West Hill neighborhood, according to Albany Police. Officers were called at around 3:15 p.m. with reports of shots fired near Sherman and Quail streets. When they arrived, they found Dias lying outside suffering from a gunshot wound. Man Steals Numerous Catalytic Converters From Long Island RV Dealer, DA Says A 38-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly stealing numerous catalytic converters from a Long Island RV dealer. Blaise Marckesano, of Shirley, was arraigned on more than a dozen criminal charges in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Feb. 9. Prosecutors said Marckesano stole six catalytic converters from recreational vehicles that were parked at W.E.S. Trailer Services in Wading River, between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13, 2021.
