Man Set Fire That Destroyed Garage, Damaged Apartment In Capital Region, Police Say A 61-year-old man is accused of intentionally starting a fire that destroyed a garage and heavily damaged an apartment building in the region. Rensselaer County resident Paul Coleman, of the Town of Grafton, was arraigned on an arson charge in Rensselaer County Court on Friday, June 9. According to sheriff’s officials, Coleman set fire to the detached garage located next to his apartment building on State Route 2 in the Town of Grafton. The structure was deemed a total loss. New York DA Accuses Lawmakers Of 'Protecting Criminals' With Proposed 'Clean Slate' Bill A local prosecutor in New York is blasting state lawmakers over proposed legislation that would automatically seal most criminal convictions. The so-called “Clean Slate Act" was introduced by State Senator Zellnor Myrie, a Democrat whose 20th Senate District includes parts of Brooklyn. Warren County resident Leon Carney, of Warrensburg, was arrested Thursday, June 8 following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. ATV Crash: 26-Year-Old In Critical Condition, Suspect Charged With DWI After Long Island Wreck A Long Island man is facing DWI charges after he allegedly caused an ATV crash that sent a 26-year-old woman to the hospital.
