Watch: Police Find Cat Abandoned At Capital Region Park, Owner Charged A man from the region is facing criminal charges after allegedly abandoning his cat at a park. Police in Watervliet were called to Hudson Shores Park on Wednesday, May 31, after someone found the cat inside a crate without food or water. Video shared by the department on Wednesday, June 14, shows the cat inside the crate, which had been left behind a concrete pillar, “obviously to avoid detection,” police said. Man Found Dead In Baseball Dugout At Capital Region Park Police are investigating after a man was found dead at a park in the region. The discovery was made at around 7 a.m. Thursday, June 15, in Saratoga Springs, inside a baseball dugout at the city’s West Side Recreation park. Albany Empire Dropped By NAL After Owner Antonio Brown Refuses To Pay League Dues The National Arena League (NAL) has officially cut ties with the Albany Empire over owner Antonio Brown’s refusal to pay his required league fees. Capital Region Man Strangled Wife To Death, Jury Finds More than two years after a woman from the region was strangled to death, her husband has been convicted of her murder. A Rensselaer County jury found 37-year-old Taquan Evans, of Troy, guilty of second-degree murder on May 24, in the death of his wife Georlasia Evans.
