18-Year-Old Crashes Stolen Car Into Long Island Home While Fleeing From Cops, Police Say An 18-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly crashing into a Long Island home while attempting to flee from police, injuring himself and three others. The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, in West Babylon, near the intersection of Little East Neck Road and Hamlin Avenue. Ambush Stabbing: 24-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Attack At Long Island Park Police are asking for help in identifying four men accused of stabbing a 24-year-old man in an ambush attack at a Long Island park. Weeks Of Full Closures Planned For Portion Of Long Island Expressway Scheduled roadwork could spell delays for Long Island drivers in the coming weeks. Both directions of the Long Island Expressway are scheduled to close overnight at Exit 63 in the Town of Brookhaven for two weeks, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The eastbound lanes of I-495 are scheduled to close from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., while the westbound lanes will shut down between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., according to the Department of Transportation. Roadside Tragedy: Sister Killed, 2 Brothers Injured After Being Hit Jogging On Long Island A 22-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car while jogging on a Long Island roadway in a crash that also left her two brothers hospitalized. The crash happened at around 8:20 a.m. in Commack, on Harned Road near Donna Court, according to Suffolk County Police. Keionna Hood, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty in connection with the attack in Albany County Court on Tuesday, Aug. 29.
