At 10:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of a dog that ran from its dog sitter and ended up on Lake Parsippany, which had frozen, Parsippany police said. That morning, Newark Police Department responded to a report of a girl being held against her will and assaulted at a hotel on Passaic Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The girl said she was locked in a room by a number of acquaintances and physically assaulted, Suarez said. Crashes Closes All Lanes In Jersey City: Njdot A crash  snarled traffic in Jersey City on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 30, authorities said. The crash occurred between a pickup truck and a motorcycle Grove Street and 14th Street at 10:40 a.m.,  Port Authority police said. The motorcycle operator was hospitalized, PAPD said.  There were no other injuries reported, PAPD said. The crash forced all lanes to be closed, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.  PAPD is investigating.

Three Kids Spray Painted Buildings: Denville PD Three boys were arrested and charged on Friday, Dec. 20 with spray painting multiple buildings in Denville on Tuesday, Dec. 17, authorities said. The juveniles were captured on surveillance cameras and positive identification was made by a Denville School Resource Officer, Denville police said. Driver Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Glen Gardner Borough: Njsp A driver was hospitalized after their ca crashed into a tree on the evening of Friday, Dec. 27, authorities said. At 10:58 p.m., a Volkswagen passenger vehicle veered off the roadway and stuck a tree on Hockenbury Drive in Glen Gardner Borough, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
