Serious Rollover Crash Shuts Route 9 In Haddam
Route 9 in Haddam was closed Thursday morning, Jan. 2 for a serious crash, officials said. CT State Police said the crash involved a one-vehicle rollover in the southbound lanes near Exit 15. A 39-year-old Queens, NY woman has been charged in connection with a crash that claimed the life of a 38-year-old pedestrian on Long Island on New Year's, authorities said. Veronica Marmol, of College Point, was behind the wheel of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler heading east when she struck the man on Old Country Road near Floral Avenue in Plainview, just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, Nassau County police said.
