Bourbon, Cigars On Menu At Norwalk Tasting Event NORWALK, Conn. -- The Cigar Factory Outlet and Hudson Whiskey are planning a Bourbon and Cigar Tasting event from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at 27 Hanford Place in South Norwalk. Dutchess County Halloween Exchange Benefits Troops DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 10th Great Halloween Candy Exchange, a community-wide project, is set for Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. in Dutchess County at various locations. The exchange allows trick-or-treaters to share some of their Halloween candy with U.S. Armed Forces troops and receive literary and fitness prizes in return. The candy will then be shipped to U.S. troops serving overseas. Lorenzo Volpe, 67, Of Peekskill PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Lorenzo Volpe, of Peekskill, died Oct. 24. He was 67. Volpe owned and operated Domenic's Cleaners II at the Dutchess Mall. He later worked for Georgia Pacific as a supervisor in Buchanan. He was born March 10, 1948, in Italy, to Assuntino and Viola Vittorio Volpe. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-71. On June 21, 1970, he married Angela (Angie) Cucolo at St. Columbanus Church in Cortlandt Manor. Volpe was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Angie Volpe, of Peekskill; a daughter, Elizabeth (Christopher) Prunier, of Hopewell Junction; and a grandson, Michael; …

Skrosky, a former player and head football coach at Elon University in Elon, N.C., was born Oct. 26, 1964. He attended Ramapo College, where he served one season as head coach in 1992. He was hired as head football coach at Elon for the 2014 season. Before that, he was an assistant coach at Elon from 2006-10.
