Dutchess County Halloween Exchange Benefits Troops DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 10th Great Halloween Candy Exchange, a community-wide project, is set for Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. in Dutchess County at various locations. The exchange allows trick-or-treaters to share some of their Halloween candy with U.S. Armed Forces troops and receive literary and fitness prizes in return. Lorenzo Volpe, 67, Of Peekskill PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Lorenzo Volpe, of Peekskill, died Oct. 24. He was 67. Volpe owned and operated Domenic's Cleaners II at the Dutchess Mall. He later worked for Georgia Pacific as a supervisor in Buchanan. He was born March 10, 1948, in Italy, to Assuntino and Viola Vittorio Volpe. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967-71. On June 21, 1970, he married Angela (Angie) Cucolo at St. Columbanus Church in Cortlandt Manor. Volpe was an avid golfer.
