Frank Zanzano, 90, of Eastchester EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Frank N. Zanzano, of Eastchester, died Sunday, Jan. 3. He was 90.He was the husband of Rubina Castellano Zanzano; and brother of Nicholas and Lucian Zanzano. He was predeceased by two brothers, Savetto, Alfonse, and a sister, Florence Zanzano.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, followed by entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.

Todd was born Dec. 2, 1915, in West Newbury, Mass., to George and Anne (Goodrich) Thurlow.  She graduated from Pembroke (Brown) and worked for approximately 10 years as a secretary/copy editor at the New Yorker Magazine. Todd lived in Sleepy Hollow for many years before moving to Pleasantville.  She is survived by two sons, John (Betsy) Anderson and Philip (Paige) Todd; her daughter, Julie Anne Todd; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  …

Tunnel Linking Westchester To Long Island Will Be Explored  A tunnel between Long Island and Westchester could be reality depending on the outcome of a proposed feasibility study, Gov. Andrew Cuomo suggested Tuesday, speaking at the Long Island Association's Annual State of the Counties Breakfast in Woodbury. “We have to think bold," Cuomo said in his speech. "We have to think big. Andrew Cuomo will raise the minimum wage for State University of New York workers to $15 per hour by 2021, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.Cuomo announced the plan Monday that will affect around 30,000 employees across the state university network, and the increase will be approved by the SUNY board of trustees, said the Journal report. Poughkeepsie Police Working Without Contract Or Raises POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- It's the fourth year the PBA and Poughkeepsie officials haven't agreed to a contract, and the fifth police officers aren't getting a cost of living raise, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. The new Common Council is supposed to approve a contract this month and if they can't, a state arbitrator could be brought in, reports the Poughkeepsie Journal.  Police Chief Ronald Knapp said overall crime is down and working without a contract is bad for the department's morale, says the Poughkeepsie Journal.
