Students At Bridgeport's Roosevelt School Enjoy New iPads BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Students at Roosevelt School, among five schools in Bridgeport, were given iPads, thanks to a grant from Apple, said the Connecticut Post. The grant total is estimated to be worth $2.2 million, according to the Connecticut Post. A total of 614 students at Roosevelt got iPads last week, said the Connecticut Post. The grants stem from a White House initiative in 2014 to bring broadband access to classrooms where at least 96 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch, the Post said.
