Trader Joe's Issues Recall Of Raw Nuts Over Salmonella Fears
Trader Joe's has recalled a line of cashews because of worries it could be contaminated with salmonella.The recall stemmed from a supplier's notification to the store chain that Trader Joe's Raw Cashew Pieces marked with the code "BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4" may be tainted, according to Trader Joe's. The product was distributed to stores in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York among 30 states and in Washington, D.C., the statement said. Students At Bridgeport's Roosevelt School Enjoy New iPads
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Students at Roosevelt School, among five schools in Bridgeport, were given iPads, thanks to a grant from Apple, said the Connecticut Post. The grant total is estimated to be worth $2.2 million, according to the Connecticut Post. A total of 614 students at Roosevelt got iPads last week, said the Connecticut Post. The grants stem from a White House initiative in 2014 to bring broadband access to classrooms where at least 96 percent of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch, the Post said.
