Westport Raises Needed Funds For Bench Memorial For Staples High Teacher
WESTPORT, Conn. -- Community members have established a GoFundMe page for a memorial bench to honor Staples High School English teacher Cody Thomas.Sixty-eight people have contributed so far to the $2,605 raised since the fund was set up on Jan. 24.
Cody Randall Thomas, a Stamford native and a resident of Fairfield, died Saturday, Jan. 23 of an apparent suicide, according to the Westport News. He was 27.
He was born in Stamford on Jan. 8, 1989, to Matthew G. Thomas and Anna Colacurcio Thomas.
