Dig Into Corned Beef & Cabbage, Enjoy Irish Dancers At Wilton's OLF School
WILTON, Conn. -- "What could be more Irish than bagpipers, Irish dancers, and corned beef and cabbage?" Karin Beggan, says, telling of a feast Our Lady of Fatima School is cooking up for St. Patrick's Day.
All are welcome to attend the fundraiser to support the school's arts program and the May 20-21 production of "The Snow Queen."
The dinner is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school, 225 Danbury Road, Wilton.

Poets To Bring Verses To Life In Celebration At Byrd's Books in Bethel
BETHEL, Conn. — An award-winning children's book author and poet laureate are in the lineup for an afternoon of poetry Sunday, April 2, at Byrd's Books in Bethel in celebration of National Poetry Month.
The public is invited to hear from Gail Carson Levine, David K. Leff, Lisa Schwartz, Sydney Eddison, Brian Clements, Kateri Kosek and Ben Chase.
Gail Carson Levine wrote "Ella Enchanted," a Newbery Honor Book, as well as "Ever," "Fairest," "Dave at Night" and the six Princess Tales books. "Transient" is her first book of poetry.

Solar, Hybrid? Westport Faire Seeks Next Earth Friendly Innovation
WESTPORT, Conn. -- The theme is "earth" for this year's Maker Faire in Westport where innovators and inventors showcase their ingenuity.
The popular fair draws thousands to the downtown area. The 2017 event is on Earth Day Saturday, April 22. In keeping with the celebration, makers are asked to espouse the theme of earth in their ideas.
