A 43-year-old man was walking on Merrick Road and Milburn Avenue Monday, July 1 at 10 a.m. when he was reportedly approached by the teenager from Freeport who displayed a black-handled knife and demanded money, said Nassau County Police. Man Carrying Safe Out Of House Arrested After Being Stopped By Neighbors In Port Jefferson A man carrying a safe out of a house in Port Jefferson was arrested after being stopped by neighbors, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Frank Beinlich allegedly illegally entered the house located at 22 Gladysz Way on Sunday, June 30 at approximately 5:05 p.m., and stole the safe as well as jewelry, small electronic equipment, and clothing, said police.
