Meegan Shevlin, 49, Of Ridgewood
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Meegan Shevlin, of Ridgewood, died Sept. 9. She was 49.Shevlin was born Jan. 19, 1967.
She was a parishioner of Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River.
Survivors include her husband, Brian; children, Erin and Kyle; parents, Barry and Heather McManus; and siblings, Marni (Brian) Tironi and Barry (Christi) McManus.
All are invited to meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday for the funeral Mass at the Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River.
Interment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
Visiting will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Feeney …
Elizabeth Sarno, 89, Of Elmwood Park
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Elizabeth Sarno, of Elmwood Park, died Sept. 9. She was 89.Sarno was born in Paterson. She had been a resident of Elmwood Park for most of her life. She worked for Form Flex in Saddle Brook for 20 years before retiring.
Sarno was predeceased by her husband, Ralph C. Jr.
Survivors are her children, Wendy Sarno, Gary Sarno Sr. (Phyllis); grandchildren, Gary Sarno Jr, (Daniela), Christine Massey and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Daniel, Elisabeth and Evan; sister, Catherine Jindracek (John); and daughter-in-law, Ann Sarno.

NYACK, N.Y. -- Nyack's future development is a leading issue in the upcoming Democratic primary to fill two village trustee seats, according to lohud.com.Don Hammond and Louise Parker, the incumbents, are running against Barbara Cohig and Donna Lightfoot Cooper, said the lohud.com report.

Stamford Man Enters Guilty Plea In 2011 Killing
STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford resident jailed since a 2011 killing on the city's West Side will remain in jail for seven years, according to the Stamford Advocate.Jonathan Catchings entered a guilty plea Friday to first-degree manslaughter charges in the shooting of Raymond Hayward, 25, at the Richmond Hill-Rose Park avenue intersection in May 2011, the Advocate said.
The victim was shot three times early May 27, 2011, said Assistant State’s Attorney Michelle Manning, according to the report. Catchings was charged a week later with murder, said the Stamford Advocate.
