Haworth School Hires Social Worker For Kids With Special Needs HAWORTH, N.J. -- Caitlin McAloon has joined the Bergen Center For Child Development as School Social Worker. She will coordinate meetings and communication with school districts and parents in order to streamline student individualized education programs. The center serves students with disabilities. Dogs Will Soon Will Have A Place To Play In Stony Point STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Fencing has gone up at the dog park under construction at the entrance to Veterans Memorial Park, which could open in March. "The park still needs a parking lot," said Town Supervisor Jim Monaghan. The Stony Point Dog Park will have two sections, for large and small dogs, signage, benches for seating, a walkway with gravel, and plantings. "There will be toys for the dogs and landscaping as a barrier. We are looking into whether to have permits for  the dogs to make sure they have been vaccinated. Dutchess To Receive $1.2M For Projects POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A parking facility in Poughkeepsie is among projects in nine municipalities receiving grants that total $1.2 million, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.Poughkeepsie will get $250,000 towards a $1.4 million  project to repair the Financial Plaza Parking Deck, which has corrosion damage, said the newspaper. The grants are from the Municipal Consolidation & Shared Services Supplement Grant program, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal, citing a Dutchess County Executive's Office statement.
