Metro-North Trains Back On Schedule After Bridge Opening Update: Metro-North said at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday that the trains were running on or close to schedule.  FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Metro-North was reporting delays of up to 40 minutes on trains on the New Haven, Harlem and Hudson Lines on Tuesday afternoon.  The delays were due to an earlier opening of the 138th Street Bridge in the vicinity of the Harlem-125th Street Station in New York.  It was not clear when the delays would be cleared.

Serious Rollover Crash Shuts Down Black Rock Turnpike In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A serious rollover crash has closed Black Rock Turnpike/Route 58 in both directions on Tuesday afternoon, Fairfield police said.The closure is between Samp Mortor Drive and Brookside Drive, police said. The accident was reported just after 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.  The road is expected to remain closed for at least three hours, police said. Driver are urged to plan to use an alternate route. United Illuminating was reporting 10 power outages in Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon. UI is at the scene, where there is a downed power pole.
