90-Year-Old Darien Man Killed In Car Crash DARIEN, Conn. — A 90-year-old Darien man died in a two-car collision in Wallingford on Sunday evening, according to NBC Connecticut. Edward Carabillo of Darien was traveling west on Northfield Road at about 6:40 p.m. when he went to turn left onto South Colony Road/Route 5, according to NBC Connecticut. Female Auto Shop Teacher At Bullard-Havens Named Finalist For Tool Prize BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A teacher who was the first woman to graduate from Bullard-Havens Technical High School in auto shop is now a finalist in a national competition for teaching excellence in the skilled trades. Auto shop teacher Roxanne Montarro Amiot has received a $30,000 prize for her and the school after she was named a finalist in the 2017 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. Woman Says Weinstein Interviewed Her For Job In Boxers At Westport Home WESTPORT, Conn. — Actress, comedian and writer Sarah Ann Masse said that Harvey Weinstein was in his underwear when he interviewed her at his Westport home in 2008 for a job as a nanny, according to Variety. Masse, who was working as a nanny at that time, is the latest woman to come forward and accuse the movie mogul of sexual harassment. Firefighters Extinguish Burning Pool House In Trumbull TRUMBULL, Conn. — Firefighters turned out to extinguish a fully involved fire in a pool house in Trumbull on Sunday afternoon, according to a Facebook post. Volunteers from the Long Hill Fire Department along with Trumbull Center and Nichols Fire Departments, were called out for the structure fire. No injuries were reported in the fire. Sunday was a very busy day for the Long Hill volunteers — they also had a full day at their Annual Open House event.

Longtime Easton EMT Needs Help To Get A Kidney Transplant EASTON, Conn. — EMS Assistant Chief Adam Goldstein has been helping the community by working for Easton EMS for the past 17 years. But now he could use some help. For the past nine years, Goldstein has had end-stage renal disease and has been on dialysis, according to the Easton EMS Facebook page. Shelton Woman Files $10M Suit Against Driver In Crash That Killed Husband SHELTON, Conn. — A Shelton woman has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the driver of the other car in a head-on crash that killed her husband in July, according to the Connecticut Post. The lawsuit was filed in Milford Superior Court by Jill Kwochka says her husband, John Kwochka, died as a result of negligence and carelessness of Amanda Cashmore of Cheshire, according to the Post. No More Detour: Route 7 Reopens Early After Bridge Work Is Finished RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Route 7 reopened to through traffic Sunday morning — a full day ahead of schedule — as work was completed on a bridge construction project. The $3.5 million project to replace a bridge on Route 7 on the Ridgefield/Wilton border is now done, after six weekend closures for work. Man Shot At Barbershop Dies; 22nd Homicide Of The Year In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A man shot Saturday evening at a barbershop on Park Avenue in Bridgeport died hours later of his injuries, police spokesman Av Harris said.
