Greenwich Man, 20, Busted On Drug Charges After New Canaan Traffic Stop NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A 20-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday night after officers found pot in his car during a traffic stop in New Canaan, police said. Jack James Portu, of 10 The Ave., was pulled over at 8:55 p.m. on Old Stamford Road after an officer saw that his southbound vehicle had a defective marker light, police said. Fairfield Teen Charged With Assault, DWI In Fiery Crash In Redding REDDING, Conn. — The Fairfield teenager who was behind the wheel in a fiery rollover crash that sent him and his five teen passengers to the hospital with serious injuries has been arrested on multiple charges, according to the Easton Courier. Ryan Capozziello, 18, lost control of the Jeep, which rolled, hit two trees and caught fire, the Easton Courier said. Cops: Restaurant Worker Stabbed With Wine Bottle Opener Treated In Danbury A restaurant employee from Westchester County was arrested after stabbing a co-worker repeatedly with a wine bottle opener, said New York State Police. New York State Police trooper received a report from Danbury Hospital, where a patient came in at 3:15 a.m. Sunday with multiple stab wounds. During the investigation, police said it was determined that the victim was assaulted by a co-worker in Somers. Danbury Home Damaged In Smoky Two-Alarm Fire; Residents Displaced DANBURY, Conn. — A home on Stadley Rough Road was damaged in a smoky two-alarm fire Tuesday evening, but the homeowner and pets are safe, Danbury firefighters said. The Danbury 911 center began receiving reports of a house fire at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at 43 Stadley Rough Road, fire department spokesman James Gagliardo said.
