Man Killed In Hit-Run Crash In Stockbridge ID'd, Driver Busted: DA Police identified a 72-year-old Berkshire County as the victim in a hit-and-run crash last week. The woman accused of hitting him faced a judge for the first time on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Samantha C. Paige, 36, or West Stockbridge, is charged with leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, the Berkshire County District Attorney said. Drug Dealer Admits To Giving 27-Year-Old Meriden Woman Drugs That Killed Her: Feds A 40-year-old Connecticut man admitted in court this week that he supplied a 27-year-old woman with some of the drugs that led to her overdose death, authorities said. Jimmy Lassus, of Wethersfield in Hartford County, pleaded guilty on Monday, Sept. 30, to the distribution of fentanyl and oxycodone, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. Hulu, Disney+ To Raise Prices Another year, another streaming service price hike. Disney+, the streaming video platform that boasts more than 150 million users, is raising the price of its monthly subscriptions beginning Thursday, Oct. 17, the company said. The spike comes as Disney said it will crack down on password-sharing, Variety reported. First Human Case Of Tick-Borne Illness Spotted In Connecticut For the first time, a tick-borne illness normally found hundreds of miles away was detected in a person in Connecticut, causing concerns that the insect that spreads it has begun to thrive in new locations. The disease rickettsia parkeri rickettsiosis, which is carried by the Gulf Coast tick, was recently discovered in someone in Connecticut, according to a report from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station.
