Police ID Man Hit, Killed While Walking On Colchester Road A 49-year-old Colchester man was hit and killed as he walked along a Connecticut highway at night. Shawn Schulze was walking west on Route 354 in Colchester around 1 a.m. on Friday, May 2, when he was hit by a car driving in the same direction, Connecticut State Police said. Schulze was wearing dark clothing and was in an area of the road that had no lights, police said. Ruth Buzzi, Famed Comedic Actress, Dies After Long Illness Ruth Buzzi, the life-long comedienne best known for her role on "Rowan & Martin Laugh-In," has died, her family announced on Facebook. She was 88. Buzzi, born in Rhode Island but raised in Stonington, Connecticut, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2012 and suffered a stroke in 2022. Man Arrested In Branford Killing; Police Asking For Tips Police have arrested a man in connection with a killing in Branford on Thursday, May 1. Police ID Body Found In Connecticut River In Rocky Hill As Woman Missing Since March A 72-year-old woman reported missing in March was found dead in the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill earlier this week, authorities announced on Thursday, May 1. Mary Colasanto was reported missing from her home in Glastonbury on Welles Street in late March. A boater contacted police around 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, to report finding a body in the water. Authorities identified her on Wednesday as Colasanto. Glastonbury police are investigating the incident. Police did not disclose the cause of death.
