Wheelchair-Bound Woman Killed After Car Strike In Hartford A woman in a wheelchair was killed when she was hit by a car over the weekend, police said.  Beth Bosco, 67, of Hartford, was struck around 11:15 p.m. on Broad Street in Hartford just before it crosses over I-84. Police found her with serious injuries.  Paramedics rushed Bosco to Hartford Hospital, where she died of her injuries.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is working with police.  Hartford police urge anyone with information about the crash to contact the department's tip line at 860-722-TIPS.

Man, 52, Killed in Early Morning Crash in Norwalk; Driver Remains At Scene A 52-year-old man was hit and killed riding a moped in Fairfield County early Sunday morning, April 13, authorities said.  Jose Olavarria was hit at the intersection of West Avenue and Reed Street in Norwalk around 3:50 a.m. and rushed to an area hospital, Norwalk police said. Rodolfo Nieves, 60, was sentenced to 40 years in prison followed by five years of special parole for multiple sexual assault charges involving two minors, the State's Attorney's Office said.  Both victims were children when the abuse began but are now adults. The crimes took place between 2001 and 2016, the prosecutor said.
