Man Admits Stealing Car With Toddler Inside, Crashing Into Guardrail On Long Island A Long Island man is facing years in prison after admitting that he stole a car with a sleeping toddler inside and then crashed into a guardrail while under the influence of alcohol. Paul Ludeman, age 56, of Holtsville, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, April 25, stemming from the February 2023 incident.
