NORWALK, Conn. -- When Juan "Johnny" Cornelio of Norwalk didn't show up for his daughter's birthday party and didn't respond to telephone calls on Oct. 10, 1993, his girlfriend knew something was not right.In New York City, the girlfriend, along with another friend, drove to Cornelio's Norwalk home at 15 Godfrey St. to make sure he was OK. Ramapo Police Respond To 95 Calls, Including Accidents, Shoplifting
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police responded to 95 calls for service on Sunday, including five car accidents and a shoplifting arrest at a local retail store.
A 17-year-old female Ridgewood, N.J., resident was charged with shoplifting after she was observed stealing items at a retail business in Airmont. The teen was processed and released on bail.
Officers responded to five car accidents at Route 59, Monsey; Ramapo Avenue, Hillburn; Herrick Avenue, Monsey; Route 306, Viola; and Route 17, Hillburn.

Woman Punched By Ex-Boyfriend In Hyde Park Parking Lot, Police Say
HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man punched his ex-girlfriend in front of their 12-year-old daughter after following them to a parking lot in Hyde Park,police said.
Edgar Gordon, 53, was charged Wednesday with criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment after the woman walked into the Hyde Park Police Department to report the attack, police said.
