Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Van Leeuwen Recalls 4,000 Ice Cream Pints Due To Undeclared Ingredient More than 4,000 pints of ice cream are being recalled by a New York-based manufacturer due to an undeclared ingredient. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream of Brooklyn says frozen 14-ounce pints of its French Ice Cream product "Brown Sugar Chunk” may contain an undeclared allergen, walnuts.  "People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," according to the FDA. Woman Found Dead After House Fire Breaks Out In Williston Park A woman was killed and seven others were hospitalized after a fast-moving house fire on Long Island. The blaze began just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 in Williston Park at Lafayette Street near Herricks Road.  The identity of the woman who was found dead inside of the home has not yet been released. White Shark Tracking East After Pinging Off Long Island Coast A large white shark apparently loves Long Island and New England and has decided to stay awhile. For the second time in a one-week span, Frosty has pinged in the Atlantic, and it's apparently moving east. Measuring 9-feet, 2 inches, and weighing 393 pounds, Frosty pinged south of Hampton Bays at around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, May 13, according to the non-profit Ocearch group.
