Ardsley HS Names Jonathan Hirsch Assistant Principal ARDSLEY, N.Y. - The Ardsley Board of Education has appointed Jonathan Hirsch to the position of Ardsley High School assistant principal, effective July 1. Hirsch replaces the current assistant principal, Rudy Arietta, who will be taking over as principal at the close of the 2015 school year. Hirsch began his education career in 1995 as a special educator in the New York City public schools system, before accepting a position in Chappaqua in 1999. Yonkers Man Arraigned In Stabbing Death YONKERS, N.Y. - Antonio Barnett of Yonkers was arraigned Tuesday on one count of second-degree murder and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, said Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore. Barnett was charged with allegedly killing David Benitez on April 18. At 6:27 a.m. that day, Yonkers police said they received a 911 call from a security guard at the Schlobohm Houses apartment complex who said a man was at the gate with a knife attempting to stab another man. Hendrick Hudson Athletes Honored As Con Ed Scholar-Athletes MONTROSE, N.Y.- Hendrick Hudson High School’s Morgan Loh and Aidan Datene were honored this past Wednesday at the Con Edison Scholar Athlete Sports Award Banquet in West Harrison. Each of them were recipients of the prestigious Con Ed Scholar Athlete Award during the fall 2014 athletic season. Pace Athletics Honors Senior Student Athletes at Luncheon PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Friday, May 15th, Pace University Athletics recognized its graduating seniors and top student athletes at the annual Pace Athletics Senior Luncheon.
