Montefiore Teams With Habitat For Humanity To Help Spruce Up Mount Vernon MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A team from Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital with Habitat for Humanity volunteers, assisted in beautifying Mount Vernon on June 13, painting over graffiti and repairing several older homes. The volunteers helped to take graffiti off two local businesses and painted an American flag on the newly cleaned facade. Scenic Hudson Grant Supports Restoration of Yonkers Gardens YONKERS N.Y. -- Scenic Hudson awarded a $250,000 grant to the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy on Wednesday, enabling the restoration of the signature water feature in the Walled Garden at the historic Yonkers landscape.
