NJ Town Mayor Calls For Improvements After 8-Year-Old Killed Riding Bike Avyaan Gupta was riding his bicycle in Parsippany when he was struck by a vehicle and killed block from his home on Tuesday, July 9. He was eight years old. Tragedy Strikes Again: NJ Family Killed In Second Fire A woman who was displaced by a fire months ago is reeling again in New Jersey after a second blaze claimed the life of her own mother and two children over the weekend in Essex County. Two Teens, One Man Charged In Fatal Jersey City Shooting: Prosecutor A 21-year-old Paterson resident and two teenagers were arrested and charged last week with a fatal shooting that occurred in Jersey City in May, authorities said. On Friday, May 10, around 10 p.m., Jersey City police responded to a report of shots fired at Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Woman Robbed, Dragged Into Street: Newark PD A woman was robbed of her purse and dragged int the street in Newark on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said.
