Putnam Boces Offering Free Literacy, Career, Educational Training
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is providing free training to in-school and out-of-school youth and young adults who do not have high school diplomas and face barriers to educational and career opportunities. Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, free educational, literacy and career training is available to low-income youths between the ages of 14 and 21 as well as to young adults ages 16 to 24.

Roberta A. Greenblatt, 82, of Hyde Park
HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Roberta A. Greenblatt, 82, of Hyde Park, died on Friday, Dec. 4, at her home.Greenblatt was born in the Bronx,on Sept. 17, 1933, daughter to Julius and Clara Kirshon Rosenoff.
Greenblatt had been a resident of Hyde Park since 1984 and previouosly lived on Long Island. She married Alex D. Greenblatt on Nov. 26, 1953, in New York City. He died on April 3, 2008.
Greenblatt had worked as a registered nurse doing private duty for 30 years in Long Island. She was a member of Temple Beth-El, the Escapees Club and the Airstream Wally Byam Caravan Club and enjoyed camping.

Patricia M. Trocino, 67, of Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Patricia M. Trocino, 67, a longtime Poughkeepsie resident, died of cancer on Thursday, Dec. 3, at her son’s home in Poughkeepsie.Trocino was born in Jamaica, Queens, on Nov. 17, 1948, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth McVay Maurer.
She worked many years as a phlebotomist at Vassar Brothers Hospital and later worked at Vassar College before finally retiring from Dutchess Community College in 2013.
She married Salvatore Trocino on May 25, 1974, at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, N.Y. He died on Jan. 27, 1997.
