Connecticut Gas Prices Teetering At The $2 Mark FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- As Connecticut’s average gas prices continue their steady decline, those prices were on the cusp of breaking the $2 mark, according to AAA. As of Monday, the Nutmeg State’s average price for a gallon of gas was $2.006. Compared to last week, prices are down a nickel; compared to last month, down 16 cents; and compared to last year, down 28 cents.
