Woman Struck By Train Suffers Severe Leg Injury In Morristown: NJ Transit
A woman was hospitalized with a severe leg injury after being struck by a train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4, NJ Transit officials said. The woman was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The woman was taken to the hospital by EMS. New York State officials have announced the name of the new 700,000-square-foot Long Island Rail Road terminal in Manhattan that is nearing its completion. Metro-North Experiences Hours-Long Delays

Metro-North experienced delays into and out of Grand Central Terminal due to a speed restriction resulting from track work starting at the tail end of the morning commute and continuing into the early afternoon. In a statement issued just before 8:30 a.m., Metro-North advised customers on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines to listen for announcements at local stations. Delays were as long as 20 minutes at times.
