Seen Him? Man Stole Over $18K In Euros From Car In Williston Park, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who they say stole $18,000 worth of euros from a car while it was parked at a Long Island diner.
On Friday, June 30, the victim, a 38-year-old man, went to a bank in New Hyde Park to exchange $18,500 for approximately 16,959 euros, according to the Nassau County Police.
After leaving the bank, the victim put the money inside the glove box of his Nissan Altima and drove to the Williston Diner, located at 112 Hillside Avenue.

A group of people stole a handful of luxury purses totaling over $20,000, authorities, mirroring an incident that happened only a few days prior, police said.
On Friday, April 27 at around noon, three women and one man entered the East Garden City Louis Vuitton, located at the Roosevelt Field Mall on 630 Old County Road, according to Nassau County Police.
They allegedly were holding box cutters, which they used to cut the security wires that were holding purses in place.

Woman Struck, Killed In Early-Morning Patchogue Crash: Police
A 73-year-old Long Island resident was killed after being hit by a car while walking through a parking lot, police said.
The driver, Alyssa Grudzinski, age 30, of Patchogue, was driving her SUV through the parking lot of Heatherwood House at Patchogue (located at 99 Waverly Avenue) on the morning of Tuesday, April 18, according to Suffolk County Police.
At around 6:50 a.m., Grudzinski’s 2010 Kia Sportage allegedly struck fellow Patchogue resident Ida Papik.
Papik was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Two Long Island women were seriously injured in a crash between an SUV and Mercedes-Benz.
It happened Friday, Dec. 4 at about 6:30 p.m. in Bay Shore.
Jose Rodriguez, 28, of Brentwood, was driving a 2019 Kia Sportage SUV southbound on Fifth Avenue at Reil Place, when the vehicle was side-swiped by a southbound 2020 Mercedes-Benz sedan driven by Mayda Villatoro, 20, of Brentwood, Suffolk County Police said.
The collision caused the SUV to spin into a wooded area, and the sedan crashed into a tree, according to police.
